Georgia Milestones End of Grade Assessment Guides, Video, and sample tests.
Posted On:
Friday, December 05, 2014

These Assessment Guides are provided to acquaint Georgia educators and other stakeholders with the structure and content assessed on the End of Grade (EOG) measures. These guides are not intended to substitute for the state-adopted content standards.  The guides are a supplemental resource and are provided to complement, not replace, other instructional resources developed by the local school district or the example resources provided by the Curriculum and Instruction Division of the Georgia Department of Education. In principle, the EOG Assessment Guides are intended to be descriptive of the assessment program and should not be considered all-inclusive.

The  Experience Online Testing Georgia website is now available.  Importantly, please note that the website is best accessed using Chrome or Safari web browsers.  Some features may not work optimally when other browsers are used.  This should not be interpreted to mean that this limitation applies to the operational platform that will be used in the upcoming spring administration of Georgia Milestones.

Highlights of the new site include:

·         The interface, while very similar to the previous site, has been updated to mirror that of the Secure Testing Application (STA) that will be utilized this spring.

·         Practice test content is now grouped into three grade bands – Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and High School for the content areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

·         Test items that more closely emulate Section 3 of the English Language Arts test have been added.  With that said, please note that this site is not designed as a practice test site; rather it is intended to acquaint students with the functionality of the online test delivery system.

·         In mathematics, this site will also provide the opportunity to practice with Expression and Equation Entry (EEE) items.  Online test-takers in mathematics will encounter one item of this type during the spring administration.  Importantly, these items are included this spring for field test purposes only.

·         The accommodations of Screen Reader, High Contrast, and Large Font remain available and will be available for the practice tests at each grade band.  Users will need to activate desired accommodations by selecting them in the section titled “Accommodations”.

Please be reminded that the primary purpose of this website is to provide exposure to the online platform that students will utilize when taking the Georgia Milestones tests.

It is important to understand that the items that comprise the demonstration tests are general in nature and reflect multiple grade levels.  Given the purpose of this site is to acquaint students with the navigation of the online testing process, the items are generic and are not necessarily reflective of the range of content or challenge that students will experience when taking the actual Georgia Milestones tests.

Please use the following link to access the site: http://experience-ga.ctb.com/

Note that no login is required.  All you need to do to access a test is to click on the login button to begin your experience.  Additionally, please be aware that the link for the previous site will be redirected to this new link beginning next week.

Again, these opportunities are provided to ensure students have familiarity with the testing platform prior to a live administration.
